While most kids his age are scrolling through social media, Isaac Galea running, swimming, and lifting, sometimes all in the same day, to help his younger twin brothers.
His brothers suffer from an aggressive, degenerative, life-threatening disease, and the family is doing everything they can to raise funds for the therapy they desperately need. Fitness has become more than a hobby for Isaac, it’s a mission.
Every year, the family takes on extreme physical challenges: swimming to Gozo, running to Ta’ Pinu, and pushing their limits in ways most of us can barely imagine.
This year, Isaac is taking it to another level: he plans to carry 50kg throughout the challenge, a powerful symbol of the daily struggle his brothers face just to move.
Through sweat, determination, and sheer heart, Isaac is raising not just funds, but awareness and empathy, showing the world the reality of life with a rare disease, and the strength of family bonds that refuse to give up.
This is more than a fitness challenge, it’s a story of love, resilience, and hope that reminds us how much one young person can inspire a whole community.
