Jason Micallef, Head of Malta National Park Ta’ Qali, shared images of the park this week.
“After four days of bad weather and on a day as beautiful as today, the enormous spaces that we created or improved in Ta’ Qali in the last five years for families, look too beautiful,” he said.
The post comes after Prime Minister Robert Abela confirmed interview conducted by Lovin Malta that the park’s grass will not grow in January or February, despite ongoing work to regenerate the site. Abela also said a local expert has been appointed to assess the park and guide its maintenance.
The situation has drawn criticism from the Opposition, which argued that restoring the grass would cost additional money from taxpayers. The PN also claimed the project has already cost €300,000.
At the moment, the park remains open to the public, but the regeneration project’s challenges continue to draw attention from both officials and political parties.
