The Armed Forces of Malta has welcomed 88 new recruits: 81 male and seven female.

The recruits reported to Luqa Barracks at 7am earlier today after successfully completing a fitness test, a military assessment, a written exam, an interview, and a medical examination. 

The AFM shared photos of the new intake on Facebook.

“On their first day, the recruits took the Oath of Allegiance to the People and the Republic of Malta and its Constitution. This marks the official beginning of their service to our nation,” the AFM said.
