Get ready, Malta, the weather this week is throwing a bit of everything at us.

From blustery winds to thundery showers, a few sneaky rays, and everything in between, it’s safe to say your umbrella and your sense of adventure will both get a workout. Here’s what you need to know to survive the week ahead.

Monday 19th January: Buckle up, people! It’s windy with thundery showers, so don’t even think about leaving the house without your umbrella. Feels like 16°C, highs of 16°C, lows of 13°C. ESE winds gusting up to F8, Mother Nature clearly wants to remind us who’s boss.

Tuesday 20th January: Still breezy, still wet. Windy and rainy all day. Feels like 16°C, highs of 16°C, lows of 12°C. Winds ESE at F9 easing to SE F6, perfect weather for Netflix and hiding under a blanket.

Wednesday 21st January: Expect showers, locally thundery. Feels like 16°C, highs 16°C, lows 11°C. Winds SSW F4.

Thursday 22nd January: Isolated showers, nothing too dramatic, but maybe keep that brolly handy just in case. Feels like 16°C, highs 16°C, lows 12°C. NNW F4-5 turning WSW F4-5.

Friday 23rd January: Windy with isolated showers, a perfect day to show off your rainproof jacket. Feels like 15°C, highs 15°C, lows 12°C. WSW F5-6 shifting to WNW F6.

Saturday 24th January: Finally, some relief! Partly cloudy, with a cheeky 17°C high and 14°C low. WSW F4-5 → SSW F4-5.

Sunday 25th January: Closing the week windy and partly cloudy. Highs of 16°C, lows of 12°C. W F6 → W F7.

UV index is only 2 all week, so sunscreen can take a bit of a holiday too.

That’s your week in Maltese weather, folks.

A mix of wind, rain, and the occasional glimpse of sun, the perfect reminder that no two days are ever the same on our island.

Keep your umbrella close, your jackets handy, and your sense of humour even closer. Stay safe, stay dry, and enjoy whatever this wild weather throws at you.
