Transport Malta, together with Festivals Malta and Malta Public Transport, have announced a temporary relocation of the Valletta and Floriana bus terminus during the Carnival days due to the weather forecast.

From 13th to 17th February until 6pm, bus services will operate from St James Ditch (Fosos ta’ San Δ akbu) instead of the usual terminus area.

How The Temporary Terminus Will Work

The relocation will include clearly designated terminus zones between 13th–17th February, with specific route allocations.

At B1, routes TD4 and X300 will operate from the temporary site.

Other routes have been distributed across zones B3 to B8 and C1 to C6:

  • B8 – 43, 46, 260

  • B7 – 44, 47, 238

  • B6 – 41, 42, 49, 250

  • B5 – 31, 45, 48

  • B4 – 24, 25, 32, 35

  • B3 – 21, 22

  • C6 – 63, 64

  • C5 – 62

  • C4 – 61

  • C3 – 54, 56

  • C2 – 51, 52, 53

  • C1 – 50, 58, 58A

The site will also include designated Waiting Areas and Alighting Areas, with TM Officers present between the 13th and 17th February to assist commuters. Certain areas around the temporary terminus will be marked No Parking to ensure smooth operations.

Authorities are urging the public to plan their journey in advance and make use of public transport during the Carnival celebrations.

If you’re heading to Valletta for Carnival festivities, make sure you double-check your route and head to Fosos ta’ San Δ akbu instead of the usual terminus.
