The annual Puttinu Good Friday Walk has been cancelled after poor weather conditions made it unsafe for the event to go ahead.
Over the years, the walk has become a staple of Malta’s Holy Week calendar, with participants showing up not just for the physical challenge, but for the powerful cause behind it.
Its cancellation highlights how quickly changing weather conditions can disrupt even the most established community events.
Despite this setback, support for Puttinu Cares remains strong, with the organisation continuing its mission to assist families receiving treatment abroad.
The annual telethon will still go ahead tomorrow at 9.15am, broadcast live on all local TV stations, giving the public another opportunity to contribute.
