Footage sent to Lovin Malta shows a grass fire that broke out in Qormi today, sending thick smoke into the air and drawing the attention of nearby residents.
The video, filmed from a balcony overlooking the area, captures smoke rising from the blaze as Civil Protection Department crews work on site.
The newsroom contacted CPD, who confirmed that the fire involved dry grass and vegetation.
Officials said the situation is currently under control, although firefighters remain on site as a precaution while operations continue to ensure the area is fully secured and any remaining hotspots are extinguished.
No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
