After weeks of speculation, Teddy Teuma has officially broken his silence following his blockbuster move to Sliema Wanderers.
In his first exclusive comments as a Sliema Wanderers player, the Malta international described his return home as a special moment after spending years competing at the highest levels of European football.
The 32-year-old midfielder returns to Malta following an impressive career abroad, where he spent more than six years with Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, helping turn the club into title challengers and regular European competitors before earning a move to Stade de Reims in France’s Ligue 1. Last season, he also featured for Standard Liège.
Teuma had previously spoken about his dream of one day playing in the Maltese Premier League, and that ambition has now become a reality with one of the biggest transfers in local football history.
His arrival is a huge statement of intent from Sliema Wanderers, who have secured one of Malta’s most accomplished footballers of the modern era.
