A group of Maltese dancers have taken their talents to California, performing at Disneyland as part of the internationally recognised Dance the Magic programme.

Nine dancers from Malta joined one dancer from South Africa and two from the United States to represent Power in Dance during its 2026 tour, which saw the group spend three weeks training, performing and experiencing the US dance scene.

One of the biggest moments came at Disneyland Park, where the dancers performed in the Dance the Magic Summer Dance Classic Parade down Main Street, U.S.A. during the resort’s 70th anniversary celebrations.

The group also took to the stage at the Hyperion Theater in Disney California Adventure, performing choreography by Jade Lavarone alongside dancers from around the world following months of rehearsals.

Power in Dance was also recognised in the Dance the Magic Hall of Fame after participating in six Dance the Magic events, marking another milestone for the organisation.

The California trip continues a series of international experiences organised by Power in Dance. Maltese dancers previously performed at Disneyland in 2024 and Disney World in 2025, while dancers have also travelled to Los Angeles to experience its dance scene in 2024 and 2026.

Now, the group is already looking ahead, with Power in Dance inviting dancers interested in joining its next Dance the Magic tour in 2027.
