A public property under the responsibility of the Lands Authority has been leased for fifteen years to the non-governmental organisation Inter Club Pupi Zanetti, to serve as the clubโ€™s premises for the exclusive use of its members.

The space will host football match screenings, particularly those of Inter Milan, as well as social and recreational activities for club members. The property is located at No. 7, Triq l-Ifran, Valletta.

At the heart of this project is the recognition of the importance of voluntary and sporting organisations in building strong, active communities, as well as in promoting a sense of belonging and collective identity.

The Minister for Culture, Lands and Local Government, Owen Bonnici, said that this project is a clear example of how public property can be used sustainably and for social purposes, while preserving Vallettaโ€™s urban and historical identity. He emphasised that the Government remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen the social and cultural fabric of the country.

Comments were also made at the press conference by Inter legends Danilo D’Ambrosio, Giuseppe Bergomi, Javier Zanetti, and Giuseppe Baresi, who praised this significant moment.

The lease was signed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Lands Authority, Robert Vella and Paul Fenech in his capacity as President of Inter Club Pupi Zanetti.
