A revamped garden in Marsaskala has officially reopened following months of regeneration works aimed at creating a more modern and family friendly space.
The Fajtata Garden has undergone a full transformation, with upgrades including a new childrenβs play area, shaded structures, benches, tables and improved public facilities.
Pathways were rebuilt, new trees and shrubs were planted, and a modern irrigation system was installed to keep the garden in top condition all year round.
Accessibility was also improved, with a new ramp added to allow easier and safer access to the rocky shoreline for people with disabilities.
The project forms part of a wider push to upgrade the area, with works also ongoing nearby at St Thomas Bay and along the Marsaskala promenade.
Minister Chris Bonett said the investment is part of a broader vision to continue improving the locality, with several other infrastructure projects currently underway.
Despite challenges caused by winter weather, the project was completed in time for summer.
