Live Show 3 of X Factor Malta turned up the emotion tonight with the theme Soundtracks and a format twist which raised the stakes.

For the first time this season, only one contestant went home, with the two acts who received the lowest number of public votes heading straight into a sing off.

Jasmine opened the show with a stunning rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, setting the bar high from the very start. Later in the night, Kyle George delivered an emotional performance of Phil Collins’ You’ll Be In My Heart, bringing the Disney nostalgia to the stage.

But when voting closed, both Jasmine and Kyle found themselves in the bottom two.

The sing off was packed with powerhouse vocals as both contestants gave it everything they had in a final bid to stay in the competition.

In the end, it was down to the judges’ decision and Kyle George’s journey on X Factor Malta came to an end.
